Shocking cell phone video posted on Facebook shows a group of teenagers stomping
on a boy as he lies in the middle of the street in Coney Island, Brooklyn.
The 16-year-old victim suffered a partially collapsed lung, sources said.
The teen’s sister walked into the 60th Precinct stationhouse in Coney Island
and reported the attack at 7 p.m. Sunday.
She told cops her brother was in Coney Island with friends and was walking
down W. 12th St. near Surf Ave. when 10 young men confronted him, she told police.
One of the youths stopped him and asked, “Are you static?”
The victim said “No,” and they attacked him en masse, sources said.
At least seven different youths attacked the victim, the footage shows.
The violent encounter came on an 87-degree day with the beach area flooded with people.
